Gaining a new perspective on vision! Our 8s “survived” their final lab of the year as they learned about the intersection of physics and biology during the eye dissection yesterday! They were collectively curious, courageous, a little grossed out, respectful of the sheep and supportive of each other! Their semester 2 teachers are in for a treat - this is SUCH a wonderful class to work with!!!
And that wraps up another year! May your days be merry and bright, just like our 8s making s’mores over Bunsen burners today. We hope your winter break is restful and that you spend time with your communities and loved ones! Happy Holidays, every one!!
Thanks to everyone for supporting our students efforts with the Shoebox Project! They packed up all of your donations today and they’re off to make some holiday magic and support women at risk in Vancouver.
Our Gr 11s explored UBC’s @museumofanthropology_ubc earlier this week as part of their work in English First Peoples 11 and Contemporary Indigenous Studies 12. Thanks to Mr. Beggs and Ms. Dixon for creating this valuable opportunity to learn in a community setting!!!
Our 8s and 9s had a great PHE field trip together at the Killarney Rink yesterday!!
One of our Gr 12 students is organizing a Let’s Talk Science - Fundraiser and Bake Sale!

Instagram takeover! Our Gr 9s provided these photos of our junior PHE trip to Rev’s bowling on Monday. Some of our students were more successful at bowling than others but there was a smile on every face! What more can you ask for!?! Stay tuned for a Gr 8 takeover for our upcoming skating trip!
Just a few more days to drop off your donations for the Shoebox project! Some of our students are collecting toiletries, personal care items, and small gift cards to create boxes for Vancouver women who are unhoused or at risk of being unhoused. Please bring your items to room 205 by Monday, Dec 16th!
Shoebox project donations are being collected now in room 205! Do you have everyday essentials trials like shampoo, $10 grocery gift cards, deodorant, and socks or small luxuries like cosmetics, treats, or accessories? Help support Vancouver women who are unhoused or who are at risk of being unhoused this season! Our students would also appreciate some shoeboxes as well to create their boxes! More info about the shoebox project can be found in the links in our bio.
